For drugstores

See what’s behind the shelf.

Share counts for toiletries, cosmetics, and everyday supplies, from shop floor to stockroom.

  • Distinguish pack sizes and variations.
  • Check shelves and back-room stock.
  • Ask AI to check or update quantities.

When the shelf looks empty, know where else to check.

A shampoo shelf is nearly empty, but a newly delivered carton may still be in the stockroom. With different pack sizes and refill versions beside each other, staff need to distinguish similar products as they check quantities. Recording products and storage places in Tana gives the team somewhere to look for stock beyond the display.

Include the brand, pack size, and whether the product is a refill in its name. Register cosmetic shades and hygiene-product sizes separately when they need their own counts. Add photos and set up storages for shop-floor shelves and back-room areas to see each product’s total alongside quantities by place. If you count bottles individually, record the number of bottles inside a delivered case rather than mixing cases and bottles in the same count.

Staff update quantities as deliveries arrive, products sell, and shelves are replenished. Set low-stock thresholds for regularly stocked products to flag when the recorded total reaches or falls below the chosen level. These use the total across all storages, so check individual storage quantities and the physical shelf when deciding whether a display needs refilling. QR labels open shelf records directly, and CSV exports help with stocktakes.

Tana’s AI inventory management is a great fit for drugstores

Use Tana’s AI inventory management to ask about recorded stock: “How many S102 refills are in the stockroom?” or “Which hygiene supplies are running low?” You can also request a quantity update, such as “Add the 12 units of S102 that arrived today to stockroom A.”

Connect a compatible AI assistant through Tana MCP Server. It works with the team you select and uses your permissions. Product names that clearly distinguish pack sizes and variations give staff the same record to use when searching on the shop floor or asking the assistant for help.
