For accessory shops
Find their colour. Check their size.
One stock record for the display case and the back room.
- Check stock by colour and size.
- Tell similar designs apart with photos.
- Ask AI to check or update quantities.
A place to look when they ask for another colour.
A customer likes a pair of earrings but wants another colour, or asks for a ring in a different size. It may be missing from the display case yet still be in a drawer or the stockroom. Recording products and storage places in Tana gives the colleague serving them somewhere to check, without always asking the person who remembers putting the stock away.
Include the product code or design name and the details staff use to distinguish it, such as colour and size. Register variations separately when they need their own counts, and add photos to help identify similar designs. Set up storages for display cases, drawers, and stockroom shelves to see both a product’s total and the quantity in each place. If you have several shops, group their storages into a location for each shop.
Agree on counting units, such as pairs for earrings and individual necklaces. Update quantities as deliveries arrive, products sell, and stock moves onto the shop floor, then compare the records with physical counts during stocktakes. Set low-stock thresholds for regularly replenished products. These use the total across all storages, so check individual storage quantities when deciding whether a display needs refilling. QR labels open drawer records directly, and CSV exports help with stock reviews.
Tana’s AI inventory management is a great fit for accessory shops
Connect a compatible AI assistant through Tana MCP Server to ask about recorded stock: “Where is the silver version of A102?” or “Which rings are running low?” You can also request a quantity update, such as “Add three pairs of silver A102 earrings to the stockroom from today’s delivery.”
The assistant works with the team you select when connecting and uses your permissions. Consistent product and storage names give staff the same inventory record whether they search on screen or ask AI for help.
